Preferred File Types

PDF Files

Portable Document Format: When exporting or saving convert all text to outlines. Expand all fills and strokes. PDF's have the ability to be contain both vector and flattened assets. Single-page PDF's are preferred but not required.

AI Files

Adobe Illustrator: Convert all text to outlines. Expand all Fills and Strokes. When using the Save As command turn on the "Create PDF Compatible File" option. This will help when processing your file. AI files have the ability to be contain both vector and flattened assets.

EPS Files

Encapsulated Postscript: When exporting or saving convert all text to outlines. Expand all fills and strokes. EPS files have the ability to contain both vector and flattened assets.

JPEG/JPG

Files

Joint Photographic Experts Group: Set resolution to 150 DPI at the sign’s full size in inches. Save it at 100% quality. JPEGs & JPGs only have the ability to contain flattened assets.

PSD Files

Photoshop Document: Set resolution to 150 DPI at the sign’s full size in inches. Save it at 100% quality. JPEGs & JPGs only have the ability to contain flattened assets.

TIFF

Tag Image File Format: Set the resolution to 150 DPI at the sign's full size in inches. Flatten the file before saving it at 100% quality. Do not optimize or compress the file. TIFF files less than 1mb in size usually do not print well.

Other Files

Others files such as: PNG, HEIC, SVG, are common. These type of files will be reviewed by our graphics department to determine their quality.
